Mrs. Corinne Carndell

Secretary

Corinne Haines Crandell is a parishioner at St. Paul’s Church in Binghamton, where for 23 years she has served as a lector, Confirmation teacher, Eucharistic minister, and RCIA team member. For 25 years she has been an adjunct professor of psychology at SUNY Broome Community College, mainly teaching Child Psychology, Adolescent Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and supervising the Human Services internship for 5 years.

Mrs. Christina Catarella

President

Christina Catarella graduated from Binghamton University in 1997 with a Bachelor's in Psychology. She is currently a special education teacher at Broome Tioga BOCES working with students on the autism spectrum. She is a parishioner at St. James in Johnson City and has been a member of the Newman Foundation Board of Directors since 2000.

Mr. Robert Gomulka

Treasurer

Mr. Gomulka is retired after 35 years of employment with United Health Services.  His positions ranged from Controller to Chief Financial Officer.  Previous to that, he was employed as an auditor for Coopers & Lybrand, LLC. Mr. Gomulka graduated from Binghamton University’s School of Management in 1994 with a B.S. in Business and an M.S. in Accounting and Finance.

Joe Graney

Vice President

Joe Graney is a Professor of Geological Sciences and Environmental Studies at Binghamton University. He is a member of St. Vincent de Paul - Blessed Sacrament Parish in Vestal where he is a cantor, lector, and choir member. He met his wife, Dawn, at the Newman House in Ann Arbor while he was pursuing graduate studies at the University of Michigan.

Beth Kreeger

Beth graduated from Binghamton University with a BS in Mathematics and MSEd in Childhood Education & Literacy.  She is currently a mathematics teacher for St. James School and a parishioner at St. James Church in Johnson City. She is married (husband - Dan) with two boys.

Mr. James Orband

James W. Orband is a Managing Partner at Hinman, Howard & Kattell’s. He maintains an active legal practice focusing on financial institutions, construction law, and mergers and acquisitions, with participation in other areas of business law.  He is a 1984 Albany Law School of Union University and a 1981 Binghamton University.

Dr. Barbara Poliks

Barbara M. Poliks is a research professor of physics at Binghamton University.

Dr. Mark Poliks

Mark D. Poliks is a professor of engineering at the Thomas J. Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science at Binghamton University.

Fr. Jim Serowik

Fr. Jim is the Pastor of St. Vincent DePaul/Blessed Sacrament parish

James Tofte

Jim Tofte serves as President to the Board of Directors and has been a member since 2016. Jim is a 1991 Graduate of Binghamton University and the Watson School of Engineering.  Jim works as a Civil Engineer for Cornell University in Ithaca.
