Christina Catarella graduated from Binghamton University in 1997 with a Bachelor’s in Psychology. She is currently a special education teacher at Broome Tioga BOCES working with students on the autism spectrum. She is a parishioner at St. James in Johnson City and has been a member of the Newman Foundation Board of Directors since 2000.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Robert Gomulka<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Treasurer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Gomulka is retired after 35 years of employment with United Health Services.  His positions ranged from Controller to Chief Financial Officer.  Previous to that, he was employed as an auditor for Coopers & Lybrand, LLC. Mr. Gomulka graduated from Binghamton University\u2019s School of Management in 1994 with a B.S. in Business and an M.S. in Accounting and Finance.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Caroline Hargrove<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Secretary<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Caroline Hargrove is a graduate student at Binghamton University completing the 4+1 program in Mechanical Engineering, set to graduate in Spring 2026. She served on the Newman House student E-Board for three years, including two terms as president. Now in her third year as the Newman House intern, Caroline is excited to continue her involvement and service to the community as an alumna.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Mrs. Corinne Carndell<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Corinne Haines Crandell is a parishioner at St. Paul\u2019s Church in Binghamton, where for 23 years she has served as a lector, Confirmation teacher, Eucharistic minister, and RCIA team member. For 25 years she has been an adjunct professor of psychology at SUNY Broome Community College, mainly teaching Child Psychology, Adolescent Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and supervising the Human Services internship for 5 years.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Leticia Fabene <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Leticia Fabene earned her bachelor’s degree in 2023 and master\u2019s degree in 2024 both from Binghamton University. During her time at Newman House, she served four years as Music Director and two years as President on the student E-Board, contributing greatly to the community\u2019s growth and spirit.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Mr. James Orband<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

James W. Orband is a Managing Partner at Hinman, Howard & Kattell\u2019s. He maintains an active legal practice focusing on financial institutions, construction law, and mergers and acquisitions, with participation in other areas of business law.  He is a 1984 Albany Law School of Union University and a 1981 Binghamton University.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Barbara Poliks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Barbara M. Poliks is a research professor of physics at Binghamton University.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Mark D. Poliks is a professor of engineering at the Thomas J. Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science at Binghamton University.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Jim Tofte serves as President to the Board of Directors and has been a member since 2016. Jim is a 1991 Graduate of Binghamton University and the Watson School of Engineering.  Jim works as a Civil Engineer for Cornell University in Ithaca.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
